Although the general idea of the book is based on the attainment of riches, the book will inspire the reader to accomplish any goal. Through thirteen steps to bring riches, the author makes the reader aware of the correct and incorrect moral values that allow one to set and achieve their goals. Over five hundred successful and wealthy men shared their knowledge with Hill, who has taken and analyzed this information to comprise the thirteen steps to riches.
Hill has a theory that anyone can use their mind to literally think and grow rich. The author’s take on acquiring riches is somewhat one-sided; Hill believes riches will not be acquired purely from “...hard work and honesty, alone[.]”, but rather riches come in “...response to definite demands, based upon the application of definite principles, and not by chance or luck.”.
